Hound and Heart Mobile Vet Care was founded and is operated by Dr. Sami Monier-Schmidt. A North Texas native, Dr. Monier developed a deep love for animals at a young age, inspired by her parents’ example of caring for and respecting all living creatures. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 2017. Just one month later, she married her best friend and began working at a private small-animal practice in Cypress, Texas, where she served for seven years. Following the birth of their son, Dr. Monier and her family returned to North Texas to be closer to relatives and lifelong friends. While she greatly valued her work in a clinic setting, she felt a strong calling to provide veterinary care in a more personal way—bringing compassionate, high-quality medicine directly to pets and their people in the comfort of their own homes

Mission — At Hound and Heart, our mission is simple: to make veterinary care easier, more comfortable, and less stressful for both pets and their owners. This stress can strain the special bond between you and your pet. Our mobile veterinary services bring compassionate, professional care directly to your doorstep. By treating pets in the comfort of their own home, we help minimize fear, reduce overstimulation, and allow them to relax in a familiar environment. Stress-free visits often make it easier to notice subtle signs of pain or discomfort that pets may hide in a clinic setting. While some cases may require advanced diagnostics or procedures available only in a clinic, our goal is to handle as much as possible at home — keeping your pet calm, happy, and healthy. At the end of the day, we’re here to provide quality care, form lasting relationships, and help your furry companions live the longest, healthiest lives possible
