In 2006, there was a notable absence of low-cost spay/neuter/wellness clinics between Houston and Austin, as well as between Waco and Corpus Christi. Recognizing this gap, Animal Friends of Washington County embarked on a mission to address the issue. Through meticulous planning and fundraising efforts driven by private donations, they successfully established a clinic to cater to the needs of residents across several counties, including Austin, Brazos, Burleson, and more. While these regions remain the primary focus, the clinic warmly welcomes clients from Harris County and beyond, embodying a commitment to serving communities far and wide. Our Clinic is focused on spay/neuter surgeries plus vaccination and other wellness services. Since the clinic's completion in 2008, over 45,900 spay/neuter surgeries have been successfully completed. The dedicated staff consistently attends to over 100 clients each week, and the clinic can accommodate up to 30 animals in a single day
