Overview

Carrollton West Pet Hospital is located at 3729 Old Denton Road in Carrollton Texas. Enhancing pets’ lives one pet at a time is our number one priority. We pride ourselves on building lasting lifelong relationships with our clients and their pets. CWPH is an exceptionally equipped wellness and surgical hospital providing complete preventative and medical care. Our professional and knowledgeable TEAM is here to make every visit a pleasant experience

Carrollton West Pet Hospital originally opened in 1985 and is conveniently located near the many communities of the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Dr. VanAntwerp has been at the practice since 1994 and purchased the practice with guidance of her Investment Banking partner in 2003. CWPH recently celebrated its 22-year anniversary in June, 2025, under the current stewardship. In the last 22 years, the staff has grown from 12 employees to the current TEAM of 27 loving, caring and experienced care givers. In the past twenty-one years, CWPH has expanded its medical and surgical services including the number of doctors as well, as adding exotic pets (guinea pigs, rabbits, hedge hogs, and reptiles to name a few) along with a colorful variety of birds to our growing list of many wonderful patients. Carrollton West Pet Hospital is the first and only veterinary hospital in the world to have two of the world leading technologies to keep our TEAM safe from the spread of viruses, bacteria and molds. Clients and pets benefit from these investments also. Canine influenza was prevalent in the Dallas – Ft. Worth metroplex in the summer of 2023 causing several facilities to be affected to the point to having to temporarily close. Carrollton West Pet Hospital treated many cases from other facilities with ZERO incidence
