Established in 1979, Texas Humane Heroes enhances the lives of pets and people through adoption, availability of our low-cost spay/neuter and vaccinations as well as family-friendly community events
Established in 1979, Texas Humane Heroes (EIN 74-2069592) is a no kill, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization located in Leander, Texas. We rescue dogs and cats from overcrowded shelters that are often forced to euthanize for space or severe medical conditions. In 2023, we placed over 1,500 dogs and cats in loving homes, rescued animals from over 57 shelters across the state and spayed and neutered over 6,500 animals
Mission — To save the lives of adoptable dogs and cats from shelters throughout Texas that are often forced to euthanize for space, decrease overpopulation of animals through low-cost veterinary services, and enhance the lives of pets through educational resources for our community
