Overview

At Animal Medical Center of Lubbock, we provide advanced veterinary medical and surgical care for dogs and cats in a compassionate, state-of-the-art environment. Our experienced team is committed to staying at the forefront of veterinary medicine through ongoing education and the integration of the latest technologies

Lubbock Animal Medical Center has been proudly serving the community since 1982, when Dr. Larry Farley and Dr. Dan Leach merged their veterinary practices to form a full-service hospital dedicated to exceptional pet care. In 1988, Dr. Lane Preston joined as co-owner, helping lead the practice through a period of tremendous growth. By 1991, the hospital nearly doubled in size to better serve the pets and families of Lubbock. Dr. Leach retired in 1997 after many years of devoted service. In 2001, Dr. Tim Polk joined Animal Medical Center as an associate veterinarian and later became co-owner alongside Dr. Preston in 2007. As the clinic's reputation for compassionate, high-quality veterinary care grew, so did the need for more space. A second major expansion began in 2008, adding seven exam rooms, two surgical suites, two triage areas, a consultation room, and a larger reception area. When Dr. Preston retired in 2018, Dr. Justin Propp became co-owner with Dr. Polk. In December 2019, the practice moved to its new home at 102nd Street and Quaker Avenue
