Dr. Wood is a native of east Texas and grew up in Lufkin. He graduated from Texas A&M in 1988. In his first year of practice, he and his wife Julie moved to the Caribbean. He practiced there for about a year. Upon his return to Texas, he worked with his father Dr. John Wood DVM at East Texas Veterinary Clinic. In 2007 Dr. Wood built Lone Star Veterinary Clinic so he could focus on the care of small animals and exotics
