Ward Animal Hospital is proud to serve the animals and families of our community. Our clinic has remained veterinarian-owned and operated for over 40 years, continuing a long-standing tradition of friendly, dependable care. We treat dogs and cats, as well as equines, farm animals, and deer, meaning we support family pets and working animals throughout the region

Ward Animal Hospital was originally founded in 1982 by Dr. Mike Ward and his brother, Dr. Jim Ward, who established the practice with a mission to offer dependable veterinary services to the region. In 1999, Dr. Grant became the owner of Ward Animal Hospital, guiding the practice for many years while continuing the tradition of attentive care and community connection. In October 2025, the practice transitioned to new ownership under Dr. Pool, marking the next chapter in the hospital's long history of veterinary service in Nacogdoches
