Dr. Thiago Scaramuzza has a rich background in equine veterinary medicine that began in his childhood in Brazil, where he helped his family work with cattle and ride horses. This early exposure fueled his passion for becoming an equine veterinarian. He earned his veterinary medical degree from Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP) in Jaboticabal, São Paulo, in 2007. After completing his degree, Dr. Scaramuzza moved to the United States to undertake a one-year internship at Brazos Valley Equine Hospital in Navasota, TX. His journey continued as he joined Weems and Stephens Equine Hospital in 2009 as a veterinary assistant. By 2016, he had become an associate veterinarian after acquiring his licensure to practice veterinary medicine in Texas, where he served until 2023
