Overview

We’re proud to care for your pet outside of regular hours or when your veterinarian is unavailable. Call now to speak with one of our team members for personalized treatments only a private facility can provide

Since 2006, Dr. Abdellah has been practicing as a veterinarian. His journey began in 2009 when he embarked on a career in small animal medicine and surgery within general practice. After three years, his professional trajectory shifted as he discovered his passion for emergency and critical care. In 2013, Dr. Abdellah transitioned to become an associate ER veterinarian at a 24-hour veterinary hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. In 2015, Dr. Abdellah relocated with his family to Houston, TX, where he continued his role as an associate ER veterinarian in another 24-hour veterinary emergency hospital. Here, he honed his surgical and medical skills, eventually earning a promotion to the position of medical director in 2021. During his tenure as a medical director, Dr. Abdellah developed a strong desire to establish his own practice. His motivation stemmed from the need to provide more personalized care to pet parents, away from the constraints of corporate oversight. Understanding the importance of accessibility, especially during after-hours emergencies, he envisioned VetExpress Animal Urgent Care as a solution to bridge the gap between primary veterinarians and emergency hospitals, offering support to pet parents and their fur babies when they need it most. Dr. Abdellah aims to make a meaningful impact in the veterinary community by offering pet parents additional care options during critical moments
