Dr. Weeks' journey into veterinary medicine began in childhood, sparked by formative experiences around a unique 'zoo farm.' Growing up in Houston after moving from Wyoming at age eight, his early exposure to a diverse array of animals, including lions, tigers, chimpanzees, coatimundi, bison, ostriches, and emus, solidified his lifelong aspiration to become a veterinarian. He pursued this passion at Texas A&M University, earning Bachelor of Science degrees in Biomedical Science and Veterinary Science before graduating with his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1988. After a brief period in Kerrville, TX, Dr. Weeks established himself in San Antonio. He initially worked as an Associate Veterinarian at Crossroads Animal Hospital before purchasing the practice and renaming it Pet Medical Center of San Antonio
