Fix ur Pet Wellness and Spay/Neuter

Fix ur Pet is a an access to care veterinary clinic with a special interest in spay/neuter services, minor surgeries, dental care and wellness care for dogs and cats. Access to care clinics focus on providing care to those communities for whom full service veterinary services have become unaffordable. We work to provide our care at prices that most pet owner can manage so that we can increase the number of pets getting preventative care and basic care for injuries and illness. We are a non-profit arm of SAVE Rescue Coalition . We are not a FREE clinic but a LOW COST CLINIC

In Sept 2020, S.A.V.E. Rescue Coalition took a leap of faith and opened a makeshift clinic in an abandoned dress shop in Santa Fe Texas. The idea was to help reduce the number of unwanted litters of dogs and cats that were proliferating during the Covid Pandemic by providing FREE spay/neuter services to the residents of Galveston Co. Once we got into the community and realized the lack of services, we had to make this project a priority for our rescue. We funded virtually every surgery from donations and a few grants from animal welfare organizations. We received no government funding. By the end of 2023 we had fixed over 8700 Galveston County pets. As we met the people and their pets, we saw a huge void in access to affordable pet care for our community and beyond. Inflation, the corporate takeover of private practices and clinics offering full services (with expensive equipment that needed to be paid for) were pricing many good pet owners out of the ability to care for their pets the way they wanted to. S.A.V.E. Rescue made the commitment to fund a start up clinic with low cost, no frills services for pet owners. In January 2024, we opened our doors.This was the beginning of Fix ur Pet as a program of SAVE. In April 2026, Fix Ur Pet was awarded a $150,000 Accelerator Grant through PetSmart Charities
