Westridge Animal Hospital

Westridge Animal Hospital is a full service hospital offering small animal medicine and surgery, grooming, dental services, laser therapy, fully-stocked pharmacy, diagnostic laboratory and more!

Westridge Animal Hospital opened in May of 1989 with Beth Little as the sole employee and Dr. Randall S. Murray as the founding veterinarian. Dr. Murray decided to open his own practice after four and a half years at Wisdom Animal Clinic where he practiced alongside Dr. D.W. Wisdom after graduation from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 1985. The hospital began in a 24x60 building Murray and a few of his buddies built on the same site Westridge resides on today. It took only 60 days to build the small building that would serve as the main hospital in the early days. By 1996, the facility had become prohibitively too small to continue practicing out of and the foundation was poured beneath the current facility. We have undergone multiple remodels since (and our clients with us) to arrive at the facility we work out of today. From Dr. Murray and Beth, to now having three doctors and 22 staff members, our growth has been rapid and our practice blessed enormously over the years

Mission — We believe that health care, whether for your pet or for a person, is an extension of a calling in people's lives. As rewarding as it is for us to provide excellent preventive health care or state of the art diagnostics and treatment for your pet friends, delivery of this level of service on a day to day basis requires that doctors and staff be gifted for this purpose. There are far too many highs and lows for everyone that works at our hospital for it to be simply a 'job.' At Westridge, we have long believed this calling to be a Divine one whether the individual called always knows it or not. The highest level of education and training in the field of veterinary medicine cannot make up for a lack of empathy, concern, and compassion we feel is necessary to deliver the quality of care we expect to deliver for your pets. We want both, however, we won't sacrifice the latter for the former and we believe God gifts people to embrace this understanding
