Overview
A state-of-the-art facility located on the Virginia Tech campus in Blacksburg, Virginia, the Veterinary Teaching Hospital is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our large animal ambulatory service provides care to local clients within a 35-mile radius of Blacksburg. Both in-hospital and ambulatory services provide treatment to all large animals on a scheduled and emergency basis
Mission — Provide excellent clinical care to our patients using state-of-the-art technology and the latest research discoveries. Build the future of the veterinary profession through hands-on training of residents, interns, and fourth-year DVM students. Develop new medical and surgical treatments for managing disease in your pets and animals through collaborations between clinical faculty members and basic research scientists
