The Monticello Animal Hospital was opened in the fall of 1997 by Dr. Rose and his wife, Linda. They moved from Columbus, Ohio, to Charlottesville, Virginia, to start a family and a family practice. The hospital has grown and so has the Rose family. The Roses now have seven children to go with their four dogs. The Monticello Animal Hospital staff has grown as well. We are proud to have four veterinarians, five licensed veterinary technicians, five assistants, and three receptionists. We are a close family here, and are grateful to have the wonderful clients that we continue to serve today

Mission — Our mission is to provide high quality veterinary and customer services. Monticello Animal Hospital strives to provide a clean and friendly environment that makes pets feel protected and comfortable during their visit. Monticello Animal Hospital offers full-service veterinary care which includes routine physical exams/vaccines, and emergency & critical care. We place special emphasis on preventative medicine. Our goal is not only treating pets when they are ill, but helping clients learn how to keep their best friend(s) healthy. We recognize our responsibility to maintain the highest standards of veterinary care and quality services. We strive to provide a 'patient first' attitude toward the day-to-day conduct of our business
