Overview

AAHA accredited Veterinary Hospital serving dogs, cats and exotic pets in Chesapeake, VA

Midway Veterinary Hospital was founded by Dr. Ruth Ann MacQueen in 1985 in the Midway Shopping Center on South Military Highway in Chesapeake, Virginia. Over the years, Dr. MacQueen touched the lives of countless animals and their owners until her passing on November 15th 2012. Dr. Poutous and Midway Veterinary Hospital have continued Dr. MacQueen's legacy providing care to a wide range of species and wildlife in the Hampton Roads area. Since 2013, we have welcomed four more outstanding veterinarians who share the same passion for all animals. The hospital earned it's accreditation from the American Animal Hospital Association in 2017 and in 2018, the practice moved into it's new location on the beautiful Indian River. Midway is now open 6 days a week with the eventual goal of operating 24/7 to meet growing need for veterinary care
