Overview

Housecalls for your pet! We service Chester, Chesterfield, Hopewell and Colonial Heights, as well as parts of Prince George and Petersburg

Dr. Mathis can remember wanting to be a vet as far back as fourth grade. A love for and fascination with animals drove her to achieve her dream. Dr. Mathis grew up in Northern Virginia and attended Virginia Tech for both her B.S. in Animal Science and her D.V.M. After working for two small animal practices in North Carolina, a move to Florida along with the arrival of her third daughter led Dr. Mathis to start her own housecall practice. In 2012, the Mathis family moved back to their home state and At Home Veterinary Care continued in Virginia
