The WellPet Group is a well-established, full-service, small animal veterinary hospital providing comprehensive medical, surgical and dental care

In 2011 Dr. Walter Logan established The WellPet Group as a concierge wellness program aimed at improving our pets quality of life with preventative and urgent care medicine. While the number of WellPet members grew, Dr. Logan saw a growing need for a veterinary hospital in Rockbridge, and began seeing regular patients in 2014. As an avid wildlife observer, conservationist, and bird hunter, Dr. Logan began taking on traumas to bear dogs in 2015. Later this led to The WellPet Group's second membership program aimed at serving the community’s bear dogs. Through the years Dr. Logan has added more features for WellPet Members and regular clients alike, from ultrasound and endoscopy, to laser and stem cell therapy, he has strived to offer the latest medical tools to his patients. In August of 2024, Dr. Logan decided it was time to enjoy the outdoors more and transitioned ownership of The WellPet Group to his daughters, Abi and Georgia. We continue to provide the care we’d want for our own animals, while refocusing on The WellPet Group’s primary goal of preventative and urgent care
