In 1985 Andrea made a decision that would define her future as a veterinarian- she bought a historic farmhouse in Westminster Station, VT that had been an antique shop (and yes the local bank loaned her the money even as an unemployed veterinarian with huge student debt!) With her husband Michael, they transformed it into a solo vet practice in a matter of months. They lived at the property for 6 years, gardening, stripping wallpaper, and transforming the building into the successful practice it is today — all while she remained on call to cover emergencies 24/7. Today, she employs 4 veterinarians, herself included, and 10 amazing support staff
