Since 1981, our doctors and staff have been practicing the personalized, compassionate, high-quality veterinary care we want for our own pets. We are committed to the ethics of providing our clientele with the best diagnostic and treatment options available, whether at our clinic on Bainbridge Island, or through one of our many relationships with area specialists. We offer wellness care, medical, surgical, dental and imaging services for cats and dogs of all ages, shapes and sizes

Day Road Animal Hospital was originally built in 1981 by Dr. Richard Badger who opened its doors on April 6, 1981. It began as a single doctor practice. The practice flourished and by 1987, the building had to be remodeled to accommodate the workload. Dr. Mark Swaney began relief work at the clinic in 1996 and purchased it in 1999, opening the new chapter on June 1, 1999

Mission — Day Road Animal Hospital was founded on the philosophy of offering and providing the very best medical and surgical options for our patients. We believe it is our responsibility to be our patient’s advocate and will make every effort to ease their discomfort and guard their health. We will make every effort to educate our clientele as to the benefit of the procedures and treatments we offer them, and to keep them apprised of their pets progress and status. We will behave in a professional manner at all times with everyone. We will not compromise our judgement or ethics in any way which would not be consistent with these goals
