Since Dr. Bill Wellington first opened Edmonds-Westgate Veterinary Hospital in 1957, the clinic has been a fixture in the Westgate neighborhood. Dr. Zacharia bought the clinic in 1996 and has remained committed to offering excellent local veterinary care and participating actively in the community

Mission — It is the mission of the Edmonds-Westgate Veterinary Hospital to offer high-quality veterinary care for animals in Edmonds and surrounding communities and to support the bonds between our clients and their pets. We pursue our mission with: Collaboration: We support our clients in providing life-long care for their pets. We practice in partnership with clients, providing medical information and counsel, and honoring clients’ values and decisions. Compassion: We conduct our practice so as to minimize patients’ anxiety and discomfort. We seek to minimize stress for clients as they make medical treatment decisions in both routine and emergency situations. Cooperation: We work in concert with veterinary specialists to offer the benefits of consultation, in-house specialist care, or outside referral when appropriate. Cost consciousness: We recognize that advances in veterinary medicine have dramatically increased the cost of care. We seek to offer clients the broadest possible range of appropriate treatment options to better allow clients to manage costs
