Overview
High Volume High Quality Spay and Neuter Clinic
OK-SNIP incorporated as a nonprofit under the name of The Abandoned Cat Team (ACT) in 2002. ACT was an all-volunteer Trap/Neuter/Return organization helping the community cats of the Methow Valley. In 2004, ACT began collaborating with Animal Foster Care Cat Shelter (AFC) in Okanogan. With a new mission, ACT became Okanogan Regional Spay & Neuter Project (OK-SNIP) in 2009. In September of 2014, OK-SNIP began working with OKANDOGS Adoption Coordinators. The OK-SNIP office had been located in a temporary modular office at 4 Spring Coulee Road in Okanogan until we officially changed our name in 2020 to Okanogan Regional Humane to better reflect the services we offer to the community and began construction on a brand new clinic. In 2021, the construction of our new clinic was finalized and we have been hard at work getting the necessary equipment and hiring staff to finally open our doors
Mission — Our mission is to significantly reduce the overpopulation of cats and dogs in the Okanogan Region by offering affordable/free spay & neuter programs, providing emergency vet care as needed and developing partnerships with no kill rescues that will receive our unwanted cats and dogs and provide them with adoption services
