Vet school classmates and long-time friends, Dr. Beth Guerra and Dr. Laurie Wieringa noted a shift in the veterinary climate over the past several years, partly due to the pandemic and how it drove an increase in pet ownership and a shortage of veterinary staff. Primary care veterinarians were struggling to accommodate current and new clients, and emergency clinics quickly became overwhelmed by their caseload. Pets with urgent care needs were not able to be treated in a timely matter. In response to this shift within the Greater Seattle area, the doctors formed a new partnership: becoming co-owners of a veterinary clinic dedicated to providing accessible urgent care to all cats and dogs who need it. Since its opening in 2022, Arrow Animal Urgent Care has become a thriving practice that upholds its mission of maximizing quality patient care in our community. Our original location was on NE Sunset Boulevard. In December 2024, we moved to our current location on Lind Avenue, which happens to be the BluePearl Pet Hospital's former Renton location

Mission — Our mission as a walk-in-only clinic is to widen access to time-sensitive care, in light of the limited availability of primary veterinarians in the Seattle area.
