Overview

Cat Friendly Veterinarian & Animal Hospital in Vancouver, WA. Providing trusted, tailored, and expert veterinary care exclusively for cats in Southwest Washington

Since 1977, Feline Medical Clinic has been a place where cats come first. Our story began when Dr. Caroline Engle opened our doors with a bold and visionary idea: to create a veterinary clinic focused solely on the unique needs of cats. At the time, the concept was groundbreaking. Not only were we the first feline-exclusive practice in Vancouver, Washington, but we were also among the very first of our kind in the entire United States. Over the years, we’ve remained deeply committed to Dr. Engle’s original mission: to provide gentle, expert care in a calm, cat-friendly environment. That passion continues today as we carry her legacy forward with the same values, the same heart, and exciting new possibilities for the future

What reviewers say

88% Positive sentiment
based on 389 reviews

Feline Medical Clinic is a dedicated cat-only veterinary practice located in Vancouver, Washington, providing specialized care in a calm, dog-free environment. The facility is widely regarded for its highly knowledgeable, gentle, and compassionate veterinary team that excels at handling anxious or sensitive cats. Services range from routine wellness and preventative care to dental care, surgical procedures, and compassionate end-of-life support. The staff is consistently praised for taking the time to thoroughly explain diagnoses, discuss treatment options, and provide thoughtful follow-up care. While the practice has built a loyal, long-term client base over decades, recent operational shifts following an ownership change have introduced scheduling challenges, longer lobby wait times, and occasional communication hurdles. Overall, the practice remains a premier destination for feline-specific healthcare in the local community.
