1924 - Dr. O.A. Otteson founded the mixed animal Waunakee Veterinary Clinic 1954 - Dr. Lloyd Otteson formed a partnership with his father after completing his veterinary studies 1961 - Dr. Ted Poelma joined the practice when Dr. O.A. Otteson retired 1974 - Dr. Stephen Sash joined the practice 1974 - Waunakee Veterinary Clinic purchased the Middleton Veterinary Clinic to expand their practice area 1978 - Dr. Robert Klostermann joined the practice 1979 - Dr. Ross Mauer joined the practice 1981 - Dr. Tom Cameron joined the practice 1982 - Waunakee Veterinary Clinic founded the Deforest branch of practice 1984 - Karen Lange joined the practice as the first Certified Veterinary Technician 1985 - Dr. Sandra Larsen joined the practice 1987 - The doctors separated their practice internally where the small animal veterinarians served only small animal clients and the large animal veterinarians served only large animal clients 1988 - Dr. Jeffery Loomans joined the practice 1991 - Dr. Barry Kleppe joined the practice 1995 - Waunakee Veterinary Clinic formally separated into the following entities: Dr. Sandra Larsen continued with Waunakee Veterinary Clinic and served small animal; Dr.’s Sash, Kleppe, Loomans, and Mauer formed Waunakee Veterinary Service and served large animal. They continued to share the West Main Street building with Waunakee Veterinary Clinic; Dr. Klostermann took over what is today known as Middleton Veterinary Hospital and served small animal; Dr. Cameron took over what is today known as Deforest Veterinary Clinic and served small animal 2003 - Dr. Shane Schweppe joined the practice 2007 - Dr. Johnie Ambrosy joined the practice 2008 - Dr. Andy Grapa joined the practice 2010 - Waunakee Veterinary Clinic left the West Main Street building and moved across town to their current location 2018 - Dr. Eric Rohner joined the practice when Dr. Mauer retired 2021 - The building on West Main Street was sold and Waunakee Veterinary Service moved to their temporary home on West Street 2020 - Dr. Jeffery Loomans retired 2022 - Dr. Leah Statz and Janelle Bruner joined the practice 2023 - Waunakee Veterinary Service moved out of town to their new location on County Highway V
