Thrive Wholistic Veterinary Care focuses on nutritional services via telehealth and offers in person acupuncture services because as a holistic and integrative veterinarian I believe that optimal nutrition and body balance lead to an optimal life for your pet. My goal is to provide an environment that encourages positive energy and supports your pet's natural healing processes - in body, mind and spirit

I grew up with animals. I also grew up eating good food. My Mom was an amazing cook and at our house we almost always ate a fresh, home-prepared meal. Unfortunately, in vet school I was taught that when it came to feeding animals, all the nutrition that they needed was in a bag of processed food. For years I only recommended certain dry food diets for my patients. I didn’t think much about how food could affect their overall health. My patients have taught me how feeding functional food can change a pet’s life. When a cat named Star came to see me I wasn't sure that she would survive. I added whole food supplements from Standard Process and a diet change to her treatment plan. She not only survived - she thrived. She outlived her diagnosis by several years! Pets have taught me that given the right nutritional tools and care, animals have an amazing ability to heal. Seeing the results of whole food therapy brought me to work with Standard Process as one of their Veterinary Support Professionals. I spent four years doing technical support and traveling the country presenting seminars to other veterinarians so that they too could bring the power of whole foods to their pet patients. Integrative care inspired me to get my certification in food therapy and acupuncture from the Chi University of Chinese Veterinary Medicine, and to receive advanced and professional level training in Nutrition Response Testing. I am also an active member of the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association (AHVMA) and served on the AHVMA Board of Directors from 2019-2023. Thrive Wholistc Veterinary Care has been a culmination of my passions and I continue to teach locally and nationally on topics like how to make and use bone broth, the power of whole foods, holistic nutrition and food energetics
