Overview

D-SNiP (DOGSTER'S SPAY & NEUTER PROGRAM) offers low-cost spay and neuter services to pet owners, people caring for free-roaming cats, rescue groups, and animal shelters. D-SNiP is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) charitable organization who offers low-cost spay and neuter services to those in need

Dogster's was founded in 1999 as Dogster's Fund in memory of Dogster, the beloved pet of Karen and Mark Zempel. With the help of donations and grant funding, Dogster's has been providing affordable spay/neuter surgeries to La Plata County residents. During that time Dogster's altered over 15,000 dogs and cats. In June 2011, D-SNiP launched the area's first mobile spay/neuter unit offering affordable spay/neuter services to pet owners and organizations in the Four Corners that did not have access to these services. D-SNiP now resides at a permanent facility in Durango, Colorado allowing us to work through all kinds of weather and without limitations on the size of your dog

Mission — D-SNiP seeks to end the tragedy of unwanted cats and dogs by providing spay/neuter education and low-cost spay and neuter services
