MobilityVet, Inc. was founded in 2024 with a mission to maximize accessibility to quality veterinary rehabilitation care and eliminate owner and canine mobility concerns as a cause for poor recovery and early loss of the quintessential best friend. In her history working in multispecialty, Dr. Porterfield noted the critical need for this care when owners were too frightened to injure their post-operative pets to transport them to the hospital for the care they needed. She also saw owners throwing out their own backs to hoist their paralyzed dogs in and out of the car to get to the clinic. Sometimes, it was just the weather that prevented their visits. Whatever the case, when she founded MobilityVet she truly wanted a long-term mobile practice to make sure these pets get the care they deserve from day one to their final days
