We provide compassionate veterinary care for pets in the Newington, CT community. Our experienced team of veterinarians is dedicated to ensuring the well-being and health of your pet, offering a wide range of services to keep them happy and healthy

Newington Veterinary Clinic was founded in 1972 by Dr. Joseph Helfand. Dr. Helfand provided medical and surgical care for the pets of Newington until his retirement in 2001. Dr. Lynn Fortin, a Newington native, purchased the clinic in 2001 and provided compassionate care and high-quality, evidence-based medicine, until her retirement in 2024. Now, the current doctors and staff of Newington Veterinary Clinic continue to work in the community-based tradition of Dr. Helfand and Dr. Fortin
