Overview

We’re here to keep your animal family happy and healthy! Whether you have dogs, cats, and exotics including birds, small mammals, and reptiles. At Windcrest Animal Hospital, we’re more than just a veterinarian in Wilmington, DE – we’re animal lovers through and through. That means we care for our patients as if they were our own, and we go above and beyond to keep your pet as happy and healthy as it can be throughout all of life’s stages. Not only do we serve cats and dogs, but we have veterinarians who specialize in exotic pet care and can help you with any problems your exotics may be experiencing. We offer veterinary services, veterinary rehabilitation, boarding, and grooming

In 1954, Dr. William V. Gallery founded Windcrest Animal Hospital in Wilmington, Delaware. Windcrest Animal Hospital was once owned by the Zebley family. Dr. Bruce Damme started working at the practice in 1982 and purchased the hospital upon Dr. Gallery’s retirement in 1983. In 1993, Dr. Donna Namey began working at the practice, followed by Dr. Morgan Dawkins in 1998. In 2003, Drs. Namey and Dawkins became partners with Dr. Damme. Since our start in a small house with just one doctor, our practice has grown into a full-service hospital with 15 veterinarians. Our facility has had several major renovations to create a comprehensive and advanced medical and surgical center for our patients
