Our services and facilities are designed to assist in routine preventive care for young, healthy animals, early detection and treatment of disease as your companion animal ages, and complete medical and surgical care as necessary during his or her lifetime
South Trail Animal Hospital was acquired in 1975 by Dr. Alton Ford and Dr. Thomas Gillaspie. Dr. Ford's family moved to Florida in 1962, he graduated from Auburn University in 1971, worked in Missouri, then returned to Florida in 1972. Dr. Gillaspie graduated from Kansas State University in 1970, served in Army Veterinary Corp in Vietnam, then private practice in Bradenton, FL. In 1975, they bought South Trail Animal Hospital
