Overview
Compassionate in-home pet euthanasia and hospice services. I'm Dr. Edwina LeMay, a proud native of Jeffersonville, Indiana, and I am deeply committed to the well-being of our beloved pets right here in our community and the surrounding areas
I began the journey into A Friend’s Farewell several years ago when my 14-year-old, beautiful little Border Collie mix named Harley started to face end-of-life issues. As I contemplated how I would navigate her last days, there was only one answer that felt right; she would only be comfortable in her own bed at home. She was slightly neurotic and became extremely anxious - shaking, salivating and 'putting on her brakes' when we would go to the veterinary clinic for any reason. There was no way I could make that her last memory on this earth when I was able to help end her suffering at home in her own bed. I realized through this heart wrenching situation that there must be others out there that felt like Harley and I did. That experience was the catalyst for putting me the path to help others have the same experience
Mission — A Friend’s Farewell has come to be out of a true love for pets and a strong belief that being in the comfort and security of home is where pets really want to be in their final moments
