Overview

Aspen River Veterinary Hospital is a place where cats and dogs receive skilled care from a team committed to their lifelong health. As a full-service veterinary hospital, we support pets at every stage of life with a focus on comfort and careful attention to detail

Richard and I met in 2014 over a very beautiful boxer named Vegas. Richard could see my passion for healing combined with his passion for caring, which made us a perfect team. Over the next several years our lives became one. We bonded over good food, spending time with our family and friends, and most importantly our time spent together exploring the outdoors. Then in 2018 we decided to settle down and build a family together. We got engaged, we moved to the rural areas of Abingdon, and we started our family. In 2019 we were gifted a handsome baby boy. We could already tell he was destined to be a strong young man that would change the world. We wanted his name to represent his personality but also express our love for all things in nature. Our little boy was named River Gauge. In a short time our second miracle arrived. In 2020, a healthy beautiful baby girl was born. She has such a light heart accompanied by an overall feeling of warmth every time she is held. We decided to call her Aspen Rayne. With our children getting older. Each of them developing their own personalities, Richard and I have decided we wanted to spend more time together and more time with the most important people we can, our children. In 2024, the decision was made to open our own practice rightfully named, Aspen River Veterinary Hospital where we can bring our families compassion to veterinary medicine. Aspen River is a place where we can walk with our patients and clients through all stages of life including providing options once they've crossed the rainbow bridge. That's why we also created Aquapaws within Aspen River. Your babies will never be alone; they will forever walk with your family and ours
