Dr. Leeland Curtis “Buzz” Morley Sr. founded Rocky Gorge Animal Hospital in 1950. It began as a 1,500 square foot, red brick building at the same location we stand today. Upon his retirement, Buzz handed down his practice to his son Dr. Charles Bruce Morley, who then passed it on to Dr. Steven Wolchinsky in 2005. In 2008, Dr. Wolchinsky opened the current 18,000 square foot new hospital and a new era in Rocky Gorge’s history began. Dr. Wolchinsky turned over the day-to-day operations in 2017 to Dr. Tracy Appelbaum (a partner since 2015), Dr. Lindsay Lane & Dr. Nelson Bricker. No matter how large the hospital gets, they will always ensure it runs with the same values with which the Morley family began Rocky Gorge
