Overview

We are a low-cost pet wellness center located in Olivet, Michigan

The Eaton County Humane Society has been part of the community since 1968, built on a simple but powerful goal: to improve the lives of animals and the people who care for them. For many years, that work looked like sheltering animals and helping them find new homes. In 2008, we opened a shelter facility in Olivet, Michigan, where we cared for and rehomed hundreds of animals each year. It was meaningful work, but over time, it became clear that we could make an even greater impact by addressing the root of the problem: pet overpopulation and lack of access to affordable veterinary care. In 2018, we made the decision to evolve. We transitioned from a traditional shelter model into what we are today: a low-cost spay/neuter clinic and wellness center, focused on prevention, accessibility, and long-term community impact. Today, we no longer house animals on-site. Instead, our work happens at the front lines: providing essential services that help keep pets healthy, prevent unwanted litters, and support both pet owners and community cat caregivers

Mission — Our mission is to improve animal health, reduce pet overpopulation, and make essential veterinary care accessible to our community
