Clayton Road Veterinary Hospital is a family owned and operated, full-service veterinary medical facility located in Chesterfield, Missouri. With over 50 years of experience working with animals, our veterinarians are highly qualified to serve you and your pet. We provide a complete range of medical, surgical, and consultative services to keep you and your pet as happy and healthy as possible

Dr. A. James (Jim) Furlong graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 1964 and served a four year internship at a charter American Animal Hospital Association practice in University City, Missouri. Dr. Furlong and his family came out to Chesterfield in 1968 to open the first veterinary practice in this area at that time. In 1981, he built his current hospital across the street from his initial location
