The Veterinary Health Center Food Animal Hospital is staffed by veterinarians committed to the health and welfare of food and fiber animals and the growth and development of Missouri’s agricultural sector. The majority of our caseload consists of traditional agricultural animals, including beef cattle, dairy cattle, sheep, goats and swine. The hospital also provides services to camelids, miniature swine and other nontraditional livestock

Mission — The University of Missouri Veterinary Health Center improves animal health and welfare by: Providing state-of-the art clinical services for patients, clients and veterinarians. Providing high-quality instruction to professional students and post-graduate trainees. Conducting research relevant to important animal and human health concerns. Advancing education for veterinarians, veterinary technicians and the public

Regular office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Emergency treatment is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week
