Town and Country Animal Hospital, which specializes in companion and exotic medicine, was founded on November 1st, 1989. Our office is located in Hattiesburg, a big city with a small-town feel. Many of our clients are our friends and neighbors. Dr. Thomas Ricks and his wife, Pam Ricks, have dedicated over 30 years to clients and patients building a strong rapport within their community. While Pam managed the business aspects, he found his niche with avian and exotics. Dr. Ricks also enjoyed practicing preventative and orthopedic medicine for canines and felines. When clients were asked what has made his practice so unique, they said “his loyalty and superior diagnostic skills.” Dr. Ricks is one of three veterinarians in the state that remains a member of the Association of Avian Veterinarians. Mrs. Pam Ricks has since retired and Dr. Ricks has recently committed to part time hours in order to spend time with his family and brush up on his golf game
