Vanguard Veterinary Hospital was established in 2012 with a focused purpose: supporting government contracts in working dog medicine. In spring 2014, the hospital expanded into a full-service small animal veterinary private practice, bringing that same dedication to dogs, cats, and pet owners throughout West End and the surrounding Sandhills communities. Solely owned by Dr. Dana A. Vamvakias, Vanguard Veterinary Hospital was accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association just three months after opening to the public
