The Cat Doctor of Nashua is a privately owned, feline only veterinary clinic established in 2006. By limiting our practice to felines we are able to provide a more stress free environment for our patients, provide services tailored to the unique feline requirements, and provide the information needed to reinforce the human/feline bond

Our story begins with the establishment in 1986 of the Cat Doctor of Bedford by Dr Robert Carlson. This was the eighth feline-only practice in the country and the second feline-only practice in New England. Dr Carlson had owned a small animal clinic in Chelmsford, MA and had observed how stressed cats were when they were exposed to the smells and noises of a typical, small animal practice. After selling the practice in Chelmsford, he established the Cat Doctor of Bedford. In 2006, he established the Cat Doctor of Nashua. All of these offices provide a quiet, clean and safe place for our felines where they can be cared for with much less stress. Less stress allows us to observe subtle symptoms that could be missed. Relaxed cats allow a more thorough physical exam and lab work and other procedures are able to be performed without sedation. Our doctors are able to concentrate their continuing education on just the feline species and stay up-to-date with the latest medical and surgical advances. All of our visits are schedules for 30 minutes, so we can get to know your cat's specific needs as well as assess their personality.
