At Petplex Animal Hospital, we understand that your pet is a special member of your family that provides companionship, enjoyment, and unconditional love. We are committed to promoting responsible pet ownership, preventative health care, and health-related educational opportunities for our clients

Petplex Animal Hospital was founded by Dr. Douglas Poorman in November 2003 in the village of Buckeye Lake Ohio. The clinic was started in a small building in the center of the village with only six employees. Petplex Animal Hospital was initially designed for the preventive care of dogs and cats and for pet emergencies. Within 2 years, the clinic had quickly grown and added more veterinarians and support staff to be able to accommodate our clients, some who even came from 30 miles away or more. In March 2010, Petplex moved to a new hospital building (where we are currently) at the west end of Buckeye Lake, Ohio

Mission — It is our mission to partner with our clients to nurture and preserve the human-animal bond by providing compassionate, expert, and affordable veterinary care from your pet's first adventure throughout a long and healthy life
