In 2022, Dr. Vangorder fulfilled a lifelong dream to own a veterinary clinic after she and her husband, Joshua Cox, purchased Kolbrooks Veterinary Clinic, where Dr. Vangorder had worked for 13 years. The previous clinic owner would not sell the name with the business, so the clinic was renamed Willowbrook Veterinary Clinic
