Dr. Steve Shrum, born in Charlotte, is a 1985 graduate of North Carolina State University and a 1989 graduate of NCSU College of Veterinary Medicine. After working in Kitty Hawk, NC, and Ocala, FL, he moved to the Upstate to open Holly Tree Animal Hospital in 1994
