Overview

Compassionate Veterinary Care for Your Pet Family. Locally-owned veterinary care where we know you by name, treat your pet like family, and see you in the community - not just the clinic

We've been caring for Richmond's pets since 1989, dedicated to providing high-quality pet care for the seasons of life. Richmond Animal Hospital was founded on a simple belief: pets deserve veterinary care that treats them like family, not numbers on a chart. For over 35 years, we've served the Richmond community with that same commitment. In September 2025, Dr. Nicholas Sherman and his family became the proud new owners, continuing our legacy of local, independent veterinary care

Mission — Richmond Animal Hospital is a service-focused small animal veterinary practice that meets clients where they are. We provide compassionate care, education, and support to create happy, healthy pet families. Rooted in our Vermont community, we prioritize client service, pet care, staff empowerment, and community philanthropy, guiding you through the joys and unpredictability of pet ownership
